My Friends Are From Outer Space

Friends is a great TV show that is full of hilarious situations and memorable characters. Three friends - of the friendship type - live together in an apartment building and constantly have fun in each other's company. They are not above exchanging romantic partners and sticking up their nose at one another's social conduct. The funny thing is that this television show is not real, although it feels so. Yes, it's a sitcom that you watch on TV, but it is very much a live action play.

David Schwimmer plays Ross Polderman, a thirty-something writer living with his girlfriend, Rachel Berry (Karen Gillan). Rachel is also his mother-in-law, who has always known Ross to be a very honest and sincere person. He and Ross' other friends enjoy their lives as they do, away from work and family problems, until one night, Rachel's boyfriend, David (Brad Pitt), calls to tell her that he wants to get back together with her. Rachel totally freaks out and cancels dinner with him, not knowing how long he has been seeing her. David, on the other hand, is not quite as panic-stricken as Ross is, and he decides to spend the day with Rachel and David in order to convince her to reconsider.

Now, the question becomes: What can this TV show about a group of friends that is so real? The answer is simple: They are real! This is the point where Friends really starts to shine. It begins to explore what it means to have friends, then examines different types of friendships and relationships, and finally presents its characters in a semi dramedy style. The problem with Friends is that it takes a lot of time to transition from the funny moments between the characters to watching the actual relationships between them in action. At one point in the show, Ross and Chandler are sitting at a restaurant when they notice that Phoebe has decided to sit next to them. They all laugh at her, but Phoebe keeps looking at Ross, who continues to laugh at her. Then, in a fit of laughter, Phoebe throws her drink at Ross, who barely reacts. Then the two friends watch in amazement as Phoebe walks out of the restaurant with the man she was supposed to meet.

This is an example of what Friends is beginning to become. The show is exploring different aspects of friendship, both fictional and real, and putting them in a new light. In one episode, for instance, Ross and Rachel date, and Ross surprises Rachel with a gift the day before their date. Rachel is taken aback by this, but then she decides to go over to Ross' apartment the next day to surprise him. The two friends have a good relationship going on throughout the show.

Another good characteristic of Friends is the complete lack of any sexual tension between the characters. Throughout the show, there is no sexuality presented, either through fantasy or acted out. The characters are just friends, with no lust involved. This makes the show completely appealing to a wide variety of viewers, especially for the young. It is a show that is meant to be enjoyed by everyone, and not just by older adults.

Friends also includes some of the most hilarious characters in television today. Ross and Monica are hilarious together, but Ross' continual sabotaging of Monica results in her being dumped by him, forcing her to go into rehab. Monica's on again off again relationship with Chandler is hilarious and develops quite a bit of love interest for him as the show goes on. All the characters are funny and really develop some great relationships throughout the seasons.

Friends is one of the most well known of all TV shows, and it is often referenced by younger viewers. Many younger people, including some teenagers, will watch the show with their friends. There is a lot of romance and comedy in the show, which makes it a hit with just about anybody. The TV series was canceled after the fifth season, but has since been revived for a seventh and eight season, making it one of the most popular television shows of all time. If you enjoy watching this popular TV series, you can always find it on cable television. Friends has an all time high popularity rate among younger viewers, who always seem to find themselves watching the show.
